Xperia Tipo upgrade

I have recently updated my tipo with an upgrade through pc companion and now some of my apps are not appearing on the main display pages but are still in the apps 'all' part of 'setting'. Please Help?

So, if I understand you correctly, you don't see the apps in the main menu but they are found under Settings > Apps > All?

You are correct Samuel that is exactly the situation.

Sounds really strange. I would recommend you try to reset the phone, as something isn't right with the phone.

Thank you Samuel, tried the reset but nothin has changed, all is still as I last described

Did you reset via the settings menu or how did you reset? Did you try to repair the phone software via PC Companion?

The phone was reset via the settings menu, and no I did not use PC companion to try and repair the phone. I am a pensioner, and though I have some knowledge of electronics, the modern technology can sometimes be a little overwhelming. I have spoken to carphone warehouse where I bought the phone from, but all they say is they are willing to send the phone back to the manufacturer as it is still under guarantee. If I want their 'Geek Squad' in store to do anything then it will cost me.

Alright. In that case I would recommend that you first contact your local Xperia Support by phone and see if they can help you out. If they can't, you should send in the phone to a service center for a warranty service.

Thanks again Samuel. Have spoken to local support and they tell me this is a google update and it is they who have changed the settings. Tks for all your help
