My 4 month old Xperia SP started dropping network connection with the message "No Service". My SIM card worked fine in other phones and no other SIM card would work in the Xperia SP handset. It did all the software solutions such as checking for updated software and even a factory reset. Nothing solved the problem so I spoke to my provider (O2) who agreed to replace the phone under Warranty. What a surprise when out of the box, the replacement phone had the same fault and would not give any Network Service though all other aspects of the phone worked fine. O2 even checked that the IMEI was not blocked. So another replacement was arranged and thankfully that phone is working fine so far. Third time lucky.
I am posting this so that othe may benefit from my experience and Sony may decide there is a design or software fault that requires further attention. Also to compliment Sony and O2 for honouring the Warranty without any resistance.

I have carried out the above action and all I have achieved is to lose all of my apps.
Still no service on my phone and yet my sim will work in other phones.
Why can't I just take the battery out like other phones to give it a full reset?
What do I do now? Contact my network for a replacement handset and be without a phone for days?
Hi there,
I just bought an unlocked Sony-Xperia SP. But as soon as inserting any SIM cards, I saw "no service" message on the screen. I tried via different SIM providers like H2O, AT&T and T-mobie with same problem. Any clue?
