Xperia S Sim network unlock Pin for O2 UK

I have asked for the unlock pin from O2, they have given me but its one digit more than what the box is supposed to take.
Please tell me if there is any other way to unlock sim network.
its been 3 weeks that O2 is promising me the code, but they have failed to deliver.
