I bought Xperia L yesterday and I have encountered some problems with this phone
1) My phone won't connect to the internet, Wi-Fi working perfectly but I can't connect using data connection, I have tried using another SIM Card but still I can't get through to the internet, my Original SIM Card works well on another phone (Xperia E).
2) The phone only shows Edge signal, I have another Sony phone (Xperia E) and it shows HSDPA network (same provider and I have tried swapping the SIM Card), but my phone only get the Edge signal (sometimes I get 3G/HSDPA network but only for a second).
The second problem doesn't matter but the first one is the critical one, what is the point of having a phone that can't connect to the Internet? Please Sony, Is there any solution for this?
Try the following.
Menu > Settings > Xperia > Internet Settings > Accept disclaimer > select network carrier.
Once this has been done, try accessing the Internet.

I have done the instructions except for the last one, after I downloaded the Internet Settings it only says "Internet & MMS settings Installed" and then no select network carrier.
fyi, I still could connect to the Internet when the signal shows H+/3G network, but it is very very very rare, is there any other solution for this or is this an hardware problem?
In my case, the "H+" comes on top and then disappears every short while... This is just so infuriating and I cannot do anything with my applications...
Then I used a friend's sim card and found out that it is working perfectly well...
So, I went to my network provider, and asked him to give me a new sim... I found out that, with a tangible feel of misery, that it still did not work...
So, once I came back to my place, I put a different service providers sim card into my phone... And I found that it works PERFECTLY...
Is it a problem with my phone number??, It is quite inexplicable to me... I cannot find fault with the device as other sim cards worked perfectly in the device... Is it a problem with my network provider... no cos I tried inserting my friends sim (from the same network provider) and it worked but did not work when I took a new sim with the same number (my number)...
i have followed the same steps but during downloading the internet and mms settings it shows error saying could not download!!!
I had also the same problem,but my service provider said it due that u had updated u r moible that why it come.So can u solve it or i have to go too the sony service center
@susanshieh - In this case you would be best to speak with your current network provider and have them send the settings through for you.

Hi Guys,
I have updated my sony xperial mobile , soon after updating mobile , neighter Edge nor 3G was working. In this case you have to call your network provider they tell to about APN seeting according to our mobile, follow the instruction, enjoy the surfing.
