Ever since upgrading to Android 2.1 my phone's been shutting down / crashing whenever it's plugged into the computer. I can switch it back on, then it shuts down again. I managed to scan the thing the other day to see if there was a problem, but the computer told me there wasn't; since, it hasn't even stayed on long enough to complete the scan.
Anyone any idea what's wrong, and how I can stop it from doing this? It's pretty inconvenient.
Thanks,
Andriy
What's your notification tone?
I don't have this issue but have seen a work around posted, when you connect and get the pop up box with connect phone /charge etc dont tap anything but press the back button to remove it from the screen then drag down your notification bar and tap on the USB icon and mount it from there.
Let us know if it works.
My notification tone is from a Sonic the Hedgehog soundboard; do you think that might be the problem?
I've noticed that Android now has a habit of changing my tone to random songs from my collection. Silly Android.
This seems to have worked the past couple of times I've tried it; at least I can work around the problem now, until it's solved.
Many thanks.
