X10 mini internal memory

Hi my internal/phone memory in my x10 mini seems to be going down even though my sd card holds all my stuff....!!! After app back up i then re instal form sd card and the internal mem goes down,im on about 44mb at the mo..am i being a fool or can some one please explain to me why this is..i thought it would run from the sd card so the internal memory would not be effected as the other day a message said on my phone that memory was getting low!!! i have over 5gb spare !!!!!

have you got an x10 or x10 mini pro? if its a mini pro like mine everything stores on the phones memory not the sd card

For Android 2.1, all apps are installed in the phone memory. It is only possible to move apps to SD Card for Android 2.2.

Thanx for the quick responses guys, i have x10 mini . I thought it was odd as before the update(2.1) you had the option to run from the sd card....cant unrestand why they changed this to the phone memory as it has limited space. tut tut.
