I notice that even after Android 7 update, the phone still has that habit of dropping WiFi connection when it falls asleep, ignoring the "Keep WiFi on during sleep = Always" setting.
The connection is not dropped immediately, but if the phone is left in sleep mode for a while it typically wakes up with WiFi connection dropped. Most of the time it reconnects immediately, but in some cases I have to open Settings - WiFi to make it reconnect.
This issue is often described as Android problem. Yet my Nexus 6 is free of it, while it is easily reproducible in Xperia XZ.
No, stamina mode is not enabled.
So I recently got my new XZ (3 weeks ago) and switched from my old Z3+.
The biggest disadvantage has been WIFI which has been atrocious, I have tried every setting on my router on the phone and whatever else I can change but it is still just as bad.
Two main problems I did not have on my Z3+
Firstly the connection drops every 5-10mins, the phone still says that it is connected but it just loads and there is no transferring of data between my phone and router.
Secondly the speed has been slashed to a quarter of my Z3+
I used to get 160-220 Mbit/s on Z3+ whereas on my XZ I can barely even go above 50Mbit/s and dont even get me started on the madness that is 2.4Ghz band, that one is even worse.
