What is the best WiFi channel for Xperia X10, my router is Thomsons brand used by O2 and called by them O2 Wireless Box III

I think it depends on what it is set to on your computer. I think the standard is 11.

I wan tot know what is the bast one, that give me the best connection and highest speed. As far as I remember I had to change it for my old phone (BlackBerry) to channel 9 to get all working perfect.

I've never had an issue with what the phone needs because I connect to loads of different wi-fi networks depending where I am I don't believe that any particular channel works better than any of the others.

At home, my router is set to chanel 7 because that's the one which gets the least interference from other local wifi users.

So, if you are having problems at home - switch off 'auto' on the router and change channels until you find the one that works

for BlackBerry it does matter what channel is it, I couldn;t use it at all, I've talked my networ carrier - they told me to speak with router provider so i contact my internet provider and they told me what is the best channel, to work with my phone.

My router works in 802.11 g and n standards on channel 11 atm, and in less than 10m (about 10 yards) sometimes is loosing connection. There is a wall on the way of signal, but if i will move about 1-2 meters to the side (still gone be about 10m from router) so I can see router through the doors, the phone will not loose wifi signal. I did not have any problems with BB, had a signal anywhere in my house.

Seems like will have to check all channels, this will be pain.
