why cant i send text messages?

i can recieve messages and calls, and make calls but cant send texts. ive rang my network and they have said take it to phone store. they told me to do a software update and it will work. and still doesnt!! any ideas?

Try a master reset.

Yes you will, so back up all your phone data beforehand on the memory card or PC.You can also remove the memory card, just to be safe,although the master reset should not affect the card.All the preloaded stuff on the phone will be re-installed during the reset process.

okay thanks, and how do i do a master reset, cant find it anywhere?

From the main menu go to: Settings--General---scroll down to Master reset.Make sure the battery is charged up before you attempt this.If your phone freezes after the reset (it's supposed to restart itself but that doesn't always happen) you need to remove and replace the battery to restart it.
