will not allow me to update through computer, just freezes up and need to reboot, cant update any other way, any clues to how can fix it, been to sony web site but cant select phone on surpport site keeps selecting c902 for some reason! help.....

Make sure you have tried both Sony Ericsson Update Service and se pc companion.
