Update issues

I have downladed and installed the new update for my x10.

However when doing the restore (after following the instructions) my apps are not downloading from the app store. it is constantly saying starting download.

Have I done something wrong, or has anyone else found this to be an issue?

Hey @Konskrypt, an update was recently installed for Android Market and some users have experienced some issues after this. Go to Settings > Applications > Manage applications > find Market > tap on "Uninstall updates".

After this you will be able to update Market again once you start the application.

I have tried your suggestion two or three times now. I have also repaired the update through the PC companion and also tried your suggestion again. However I'm still getting the same issue.

i had problems with the market, had to do the uninstall updates thing but it was still taking a lot of tries to get the market to work but since the upgrade to 2.1 the market upgrade is working fine for me.

maybe if you try installing them individually it might be better, i'd imagine installing a bunch of APPS all at once might take some time.

Mine is doing exactly the same, been trying the above since last night and still no result.

Really hope someone can figure it out as really starting to annoy me now.

There are a few variations of clearing this issue, try all the below

1. Open Settings.
2. Select Applications.
3. Select Manage Applications.
4. Tap Market.
5. Tap Uninstall Updates (if option is showing) and tap Clear cache.
6. Press the back button (takes you back to list of installed applications)
7. Select Download Manager.
8. Tap Clear data.
9. Hopefully you will now be able to download successfully from the Market.

Hiya, Thanks for your advice i've done as you've said although when i go back onto the list of installed apps there is no download manager to select?

When in the application manager, press the menu key, tap filter, tap All Apps then OK, if its there it will appear in the list.
