My friend has an Iphone and he can view and access his laptop(apple) on his Iphone. Is there a similar type app for the ExperiaX10. I have a Sony VAIO.

No, unfortunately that is something you'll wish for and something SE should have realized a few years ago.

Seriously, none of us would know. We wish it to be so, but that's up to the brains in SE and Sony to work out the cross platform issues and compatibility.
