TMonitor.exe

Hi,

i recently updated my PCCompanion and found this program(tmonitor.exe) running on my process list when i clicked Ctrl+Alt+Delete, doing a system search tracked it to my sony ericsson folder where i found a program called tmonitor that opens into a notepad once i double-clicked it.

The TMonitor.exe disappears from the process list once i exited PCCompanion.

I just wanted to confirm if this is an official sony ericsson program file as i've looked around the net and found that there's also a keylogger with the same name

Hi, I saw it too, got my PC Companion updated yesterday. Think it has something to do with taking logs. Confirmation from SE would be good.

Any Updates on this? Really would like to know if i should be erasing this file or just leaving it on my computer.

Thought I would add my comment to the thread (mainly to get Sony's attention).

Thanks for posting your original question, it gives us all something to add to.

Yesterday I updated my PC Companion software for Sony Xperia X10 and today I discovered TMonitor running in my task list.

I "ended the process" in the task list and PC Companion continues to run, so I am not sure what TMonitor is used for?

Let's hope Sony take a moment to respond to this thread, it would be nice to know what the software is doing (and if it really is a Sony product and not spyware).

Straight from our team:

Tmonitor is the logging  program created to monitor activities in PC Companion.

This is a real application from us. If there is a "bad" applcation out there, I can really only caution you to be wise about your computer use, which of course, it sounds like all of you are.
