The Join Contact issue.

I have some phone contacts and also have synced with Facebook Contacts.  For contacts of people in both thecontacts, when i join the contacts, how do i choose which contact name to display.  What happens is in some joins the system uses the Facebook name and in some of them, the phone contact name is used.  I am not given the choice to decide what name to use.  This is turnng a big problem as all people on Facebook dont have their true names.  and i cant remember what strange name they write on FB..  Theres got to be a way for this..  i cant understand how the phone chooses what name to use.

i am really frustrated with the issue. If this is some bug, then please suggest some fix for this..

Hi,

After you have joined a contact, If you go into editting the contact again, you can scroll down and see the option for Phone Contact. You can then enter the name of the person how you would like it to appear in your phonebook here. Leave the Sync ML filled in with the Facebook name and only change the name in the Phone Contact section.

This should resolve the issues you are experiencing. Let me know how you get on.

Thanks for the quick  reply but ....

After i join the contact, and go to edit option, the first field it shows is of phone contact, which still shows the name i have entered in phone contact. However whatever name i enter here.. is shown only in edit mode. When i save it, the phonebook still shows the facebook name of that contact.

Also theres nothing by the name sync ML when i edit the contact.

However in some contacts( Only those which have their same cell number on Facebook) show up the phone contact name in the phonebook. Theresno way to change this either.  I hope u mite have iunderstood.  It shows the phone contact name of those people who have their phone number on FB as well as my phonebook. but many of my friends have not put up their numbers on facebook. Theres no way i can find out to make my phonebook display their phone contact name.

Im having the same problem but added to that, of recent when joining contacts other cntacts joined previously get "un-joined". Is there a maximum to how many contacts can be joined?
