I'm considering the new Experia Ray but I'm not sure it can sync all information (Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Notes) of MS Outlook with my PC/Laptop (no Exchange Server). Can Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) do that or is a third party needed for synchronization?
Thank you for your feedback.
I can confirm that this will be achievable using PC Companion, however just beaware that the handset will need to have an active Gmail account as you can only synch the handset to MS outlook via Gmail using PC Companion.
Thank you for that. But are you saying that my phone will be synchronized with the data I stored in my online Gmail account, not my data on my laptop? Does the synchronization incluse Tasks and Notes as well?
As I understand Xperia ray will run on Android gingerbread just like the Xperia arc and other new Android phones. Imagining that it will comes with the same support for sync as the Arc you'll only be able to sync contacts and calendar this way, because there are no notes and tasks applications that supports sync per default in Android.
