sync using sonyericsson

hi

i have problem syncing using sonyericsson servers.in add account menu there's no option for synericsson.there's just syncml, google ,facebook and ... but no sonyericsson option.i tried pc companion solution.in one online step it said:

"To set up Sony Ericsson Sync on your phone:

1. From the Home screen, tap the applications bar
2. Tap Sync > Get started
3. Log in with your Sony Ericsson account (same as on www.sonyericsson.com)
4. Tap Accept on the Authorize screen
5. Select which information you want to synchronize
6. Start the sync by tapping Finish

When the sync has started, click Done below."

i didn't find the location where these configuration are.

my firmware is 2.1 update 1

what should i do?

To set up a Sony Ericsson account in your phone

1. From the Home screen, drag upwards.
2. Tap Settings > Accounts & sync > Add account > Sony Ericsson Sync.
3. Follow the registration wizard to create aSony Ericsson account, or sign in if you already have an account.
4. Tap Sync interval and select how often you want the phone to synchronise automatically.
5. Tap Done.

To set up an existingSony Ericsson account in your phone

1. From the Home screen, drag upwards.
2. Find and tap Settings > Accounts & sync >Sony Ericsson Sync.
3. Enter your username and password, then tapLog in.
4. If desired, change the default synchronisation settings. Tap Done.

To synchronise manually usingSony Ericsson Sync

1. From the Home screen, drag upwards.

To add a second account, tap in the account list view.

To edit your Sony Ericssonaccount

1. From the Home screen, drag upwards.
2. Find and tap Settings > Accounts & sync >Sony Ericsson Sync > Account settings.
3. Tap and edit the desired information.
4. Tap Done.

To set a synchronisation interval

1. From the Home screen, drag upwards.
2. Find and tap Settings > Accounts & sync >Sony Ericsson Sync > Account settings.
3. Tap Sync interval to set a synchronisation interval.

To remove a Sony Ericssonaccount from your phone

1. From the Home screen, drag upwards.
2. Tap Settings > Accounts & sync > Sony Ericsson Sync.
3. Tap Remove account.

The account is removed from your phone, but it still exists. You can use it to log in to the Sony Ericsson website atwww.sonyericsson.com/user.

To stop synchronisation inSony Ericsson Sync

• When synchronising, tap Cancel.

i there wasn't such application named as "sync" in my application list since i bought the phone.and i never reset it or delete it's applications.

also in acount and sync settings there isn't sonyericsson sync option to select.as i said before it's just google facebook and ...

Did you check all panes for the sync application?

i'm sure.several times.both panels and settings.i haven't seen this ever

Kind of strange that your phone does not have the Sync icon and there is no Sony Ericsson Sync when you add account.

There are few options ....

- use other methods to sync (depending on what you want to sync).

- a Factory data reset or Software repair (erases phone memory, requires backup)

- wait for a better solution from other users.

is it possible that local distributors such as the one in dubai modifed the fimware?

Possible.

SE moderators here should be able to answer this question?! Maybe check with your 'local distributors'?

its probably a regional issue, if that's the issue that its not supported in your region then you have 2 options

1) debrand your phone with global firmware so you will get access to it

2) don't worry about SE sync, its not that reliable, Google its far better but thats my personal opinion
