Speaker Problem

My new Xperia 8 initially could give me sound from the installed speaker when I was using the FM radio.

I recall a line of script came up at the bottom of the screen that had to be clicked to activate the speaker.

For some reason I no longer see the script and am unable to use FM radio or music except with headphones.

I would be very grateful if someone could please come up with a solution

The FM radio won't work without the headphones plugged in as far as I understand it as they act as an antenna however the music player should.  You can check the functionality of your speakers in the Service Menu.  To access this, from the unlock screen don't swipe to unlock but press in sequence

Then select Service Tests>Speaker and you should get some speech, then music then an annoying tone play. Let us know how you get on.
