A day after announcing the availability of the Gingerbread upgrade for Xperia X10 devices, Sony Ericsson has said that it was a miscommunication and that the upgrade for the device is not completely ready yet.
According to a special post that has been issued by Sony Ericsson, the information published on the website is a bit too premature. The company is now planning to roll out the update in the coming days as still some more days are required to make full preparations for the same.
Meanwhile, Sony Ericsson is urging people not to believe the comments that are being posted on related forums as there are a lot many people trying to impersonate Rikard Skogberg, business manager at the company, and spreading false news. All the official announcements relating to products will be made through the official blog post and not just comments.
But ultimately the fact remains that the Gingerbread upgrade for the Xperia X10 is not yet officially release and that Sony Ericsson will take some more days to announce its availability.

This make us to wait for few more days
its coming its coming
just because the website said it's ready and it wasn't really ready does not make it delayed!! The stupid web server employees just posted it too early. the update is coming today, or at the latest, by the end of the weekend. It's been confirmed by SE chat representatives in Europe that the update is being uploaded as we speak, and will be made available shortly.
The picture in tat link says X10i
is it released in India ???
yes even if you have an X10i or X10a it will work, you are NOT mod the frequencies on your phone, I have the X10a and the X10i firmware works just fine, it works with the X10a 3G bands and I'd done the same w/ the X10i using X10a firmware and it doesn't change anything, other than it will say X10i
same...x10a on at&t running perfectly with 3g and perfect phone signal
please upgrade my version
