SONY ERICCSON SATIO

hi i am new here and need advice please.  i live in south africa and took out a contract with one of the mobile providers and bought a sony ericcson satio. i have only had the phone for a year and the battery has to be charged every day. as its a very good phone i  asked around for a new battery and was told the phone is outdated and spares are no longer available. does any one know of a dealer in the bigger cities who may still sell the batteries
