Software update failure

Hi

Sony Ericsson insists that there is a software upgrade for my phone which says it is running 2.1 update1. The previous upgrade from 1.6 worked fine. The update always fails during preparation with the error message: "Unable to install or start phone software update components". Any suggestions please?

Backup and  Restore from v2.1 SE X10

unless the file is corrupted then you wont be able to restore them you can reflash 2.1 and try to restore it, if it doesn't work then its the file that was corrupted, also check the other apps I suggested for SMS/MMS backup
