Software download using Update Service

Hi, I am having real problems trying to download new software to my W800i using the Update Service.

I connect my phone as instructed.

The problem is that how long are you supposed to hold down the 'C' Button when connecting the USB Cable?

I hold the button down the phone appears to connect OK.

(ie.It lights up and the PC screen shows checking existing software but then it appears to lock up the PC.

I have held the 'C' button down for at least 15 mins. but still shows checking software and as stated above the

PC locks up.

I have to reboot the PC to get rid of the lock up!

Any suggestions appreciated as this annoying having now tried at least 6 times to download new software.

You should let go of the C button as soon as the phone is recognised.If the problem persists, try deleting and re-installing the update service application.

You can also try using a different USB port, USB cable or even a different PC.
