Setting wallpaper

Is it possible to set a wallpaper without cropping it? I have 320x240 pictures on my phone, but when I set one as wallpaper, it crops it horizontally and then appears on my screen vertically, huge and blurry I re-sized one to 320 wide, like someone suggested to someone else, but that still had to be cropped. I tried on 480 long (my pics aren't 480x320 ratio) and that was the same. Why do they have to cropped?

umm that's quite odd, it works fine with me, remember that the picture will be distributed along the screens

Just use DODOL WALLPAPER application form android market.... there is an option in that of MAke Wallpaper and in that you can set the image as wallpaper in original condition...(without cropping it)
