Replacing OS

Replacing OS

Hello all,

I just got my dad's old phone, an Cybershot c902, and I find it a little slow compared to my old w300i.

I got the idea that this is caused by all the fancy effects.

So I was wondering:

Can I replace the OS of the c902 with the OS of my w300i?

Will it help?

Any further information:

c902:

-Has a 4gig empty memorycard

-No pictures or movies (except the ones already present when bought)

w300i:

-Has about 512Mb memory card.

-Phone and card contain music and pictures.

-This phone is awesome.

Cheers,

Hello, Although the c902 may seem slow there is no way to change the OS from a c902 to a w300i. What I would suggest is try and update the phone using Sony Ericsson Update Service to see if there is an improvement in software.

Both these phones actually have the same OS, as they are both Java-OS phones. So it's a case of swapping the software around, which unfortunately you can't do anyway. However you can update or re-install the software of the C902 via PC using the SE update service, and this may increase its speed.

No change in comparison from before the update.
