remove notification badge

Hi,

with the last update whatsapp shows the number of message on the top right of the icon. I would like to remove this notification badge. How can i do this? I have a Z3.

Hello @simcol and welcome to the community!

If you're having trouble with the Whatsapp application I can only refer you to contact the developer of said application since we cannot support third party applications.

However it sounds like you have some unread messages, could that be the case? If it's a notification you wish to remove it should be possible to swipe it left or right from the notification-field.

Thank you for the suggestion. But the problem is that the badge on the top-right of the icon appears also when arrives a message in a group that I have set to mute.

I know that the badge notification is managed by an app like "badgenotifier" but I cannot find this app in my phone.

@simcol This was discussed some time ago but with the exact opposite because apps were not showing notification badges.

Now I am not sure if those can be hidden and I think @Didrik is right.

It is a feature of Xperia Home and I am afraid there is no configuration available to disable it. You may try different launchers that may have that portion fully configurable.
