Receiving the same text multiple times + youtube problem

Hello!

Apart from having NO BATTERY in the box when I first got it, I haven't had any major issues with my xperia x10 mini pro as of yet (touch wood!) but having some minor problems.

Recently, if someone sends me a text message, I would receive it 3 or 4 times, which is pretty irritating. Anybody know what's wrong there? How can I fix it?

Also I've never been able to watch youtube videos (or any videos online for that matter). I have the Tubemate app but it doesn't work, and trying to watch a youtube video on the browser doesn't work either. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Steph

It sounds like a network problem for receiving same sms multiple times (I could be wrong), no harm checking with your Carrier first.

As for youtube problem, for your info, youtube is not allowed in some country.

Thanks for your reply.

I know that some youtube videos are banned in certain countries for whatever reason, but that's not the problem. I can't get ANY videos working. If I go on the youtube website from my browser and click on a video I get the following message:

Continue action using

1. Browser

2. Tubemate

If I click browser, I'll get a 'this page could not be loaded' error.

If I click tubemate, I get to the video, click play will get the same message as before (continue action using...), click tubemate again and either nothing happens or I get that message over and over again...

Any idea what could be wrong here?

edit: I also have the option to either 'watch' or 'download' the video. I don't necessarily want to download every video I'm interested in watching but that option seems to work. The problem is when I simply want to 'watch' the video without downloading...

I would reset browser to default first, just take note that all your browser settings will be gone (history, cookies, password .... etc).

Receiving the same messages several times does sound like a network issue. If this easily can be reproduced, please try doing so with a different SIM card in the phone. If possible, use a card conencted to a different carrier.

About the YouTube problem, which URL do you type in the browser? www.youtube.com will not work since the phone doesn't support Flash but m.youtube.com should work. If the page loads but won't play any of the videos, it might be the proxy settings in you internet account that is causing this problem.
