Problem with the process android.process.acore (Drain Battery on X10)

Hi,

Since i upgrade my mobile to Android 2.1 i have a problem with this process (android.process.acore) that is draining my battery, i already search in the internet and try to reset the mobile, repair de mobile, take out all the widgets from the main menu, stop the sync process from all networks, turn off bluetooth, wifi, etc... and nothing.

The only thing i change in my mobile its that i upgrade my memory card for 16 Gb but i think that its not the problem.

P.S: I use this program (SystemPanel App) to find out where the battery was draining and its between 25%-65% in the same process (android.process.acore), the CPU its always in the 100% of use.

Waiting for your help,

Thanks,

Alexandre

This is one of the core processes so it will be high, if you have only recently installed 2.1 then best to try a factory reset on the phone but backup all your apps and cotacts first

Backup contacts by opening phonebook press menu, backup contacts, memory card, it will tell you its going to create vcf, note what its called like PIM00001.vcf

After update open phonebook and press menu, import contacts, memory card, phone contacts, Import vCard files, tap the PIM you created and OK

Download APP Brain from the market http://www.appbrain.com/app/appbrain-app-market/com.appspot.swisscodemonkeys.apps register with them on the web

you just use your google account and password for this, once installed sync your apps with app brain this backs them all up for you.

After the update in install app brain again and install all your apps back to your phone

When 2.1 is installed it does not alwasy work properly so resetting it should clear your problem it also take a while to settle down over time it uses less batteries

Don't install any Task Managers as they run all the time and will drain the battery, xperia self manages its processes.

Factory Reset will reset your phone and clear all apps, data and information so you will have to set it up from the begriming again

Thank you for the answer, but the problem remains, i don't know if its a problem with Vodafone software or not, but its strange, my gf as bought the phone at same time as me and she have all runing like mine and its all ok, the only diference is that i have lots of contacts in twitter and facebook but in Android 1.6 never give me this problem.

The only way i am keeping the phone working with less batery drain is to use the same App (System App) to kill all active programs/process's and the phone reboot's itself just asking me to put the pin again and this is it, he just works with the basics programs and process's.

If you have Facebook and Twitter running to auto update that will most likely cause it as they tend to run continuously I don't use them but

as a test turn them off completely for a day charge the battery fully and see if it lasts and the android.process.acore becomes low or stops completely.

Also make sure Auto Sync is stopped as well so it isn't running or any email checking.

Thank you one more time, i will try to keep auto-sync off for the day, and see if the CPU usage is less, its always in 100%.

The timescape just updates when is open, so from timescape its not possible, but if really is from the auto-sync, so i am one of the cases that need froyo to correct this problem, for what i read in other forum from HTC Evo 4, only with froyo this problem is solved.

Well i feel a bit dumb, the problem was easly solved just turning off auto-sync and rebooting the phone. Well nobody is perfect lololol
