Please state whether you have X10 or X10 mini/pro

I tried emailing Jeff to see if he could put something on the discussions board in relation to the above but surprise, surprise you can't email him cos his mail box is full.  SE support at its best once again Anguished_Face

The board is X10 family and that would be all well and good if all things were the same, but whilst they may be in the same family a lot of the time they are speaking a different language.  It would save time when answering if we were giving specific answers to your devices.  The other two forums I submit to have made a seperate section for mini/pro users as the problems we are having are different.

Ok Thanks.

Do you know where to install it from?

Just read the review on installing Facebook from android market  - alot of complaints!

Have you got bluetooth ftp installed? If you have then you can find it from the folder system listed under local files, there you can find a folder named app which holds all default applications. Otherwise you just search the market for facebook application and click install. This will reinstall the application.

so your saying i should uninstall it and then go to bluetooth file transfer>local files>default-capability.xml and install from there?

No. You go to local files from blue tooth ftp and click back. This will lead you to a page with many directories. From here you have to find system which will be marked with a red cross icon. On opening this you will see a folder named apps. When you open it you can see a file named facebook.apk. Click on it an the application will be reinstalled. Remember that you will have to enter your user name and other data again.

I just got my X10 mini pro, and for a free upgrade I am incredibly impressed.

The phone is very easy to use. And by that I mean easier than any other phone i've had before (already been through SE T610i, K700i, K750i, K800i, K850i, T700i, LG Arena, and LG Chocolate BL20).

I switched over to the LG phones after the K850i because SE seriously fell behind back then and didnt seem to have anything up to date out, however I hated the touch screen on it, and web pages never fully loaded and were impossible to navigate with such a poor touch screen UI. I sold it and bought a BL20, and that was a serious waste of money - the BL20 was even slower with Opera mini that my K850i / T700i were Slightly_frowning_Face (I bought the T700i because my K850i was terrible and too buggy).

I fully regret having had bought the LG phones, and also the K850i (the only SE phone I had that was terrible). I now wish that instead of having gotten the K850i and LG Arena, I had instead gotten a Nokia N95, and SE C905. I know now to do some homework before getting my upgrades, because it really sucks to be stuck for 18 months with a phone that is a pain to use.

I had this with Jeff back in July and the reply i got was there was no plans to split the forun to either X10,X10mini on X10 mini pro. I think as has already been posted that each phone has its own problems so oinstead of looking through pages of x10 x10mini and pro you should be able to click on the relivent model ,simple eh.......but yet again its made hard because a simple think isn't a simple thing..... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Hi

I think i have worked out the problem

I went on FB via browser. Click on Notifications and got this message:

The page you requested cannot be displayed right now. It may be temporarily unavailable, the link you clicked on may be broken or expired, or you may not have permission to view this page

So must be a FB error - guess i will look into it when i get home!

Thanks for all your help!

I have X10i. I really love this one. I used W580i before this phone.
