Only one speaker working since Marshmallow

I upgraded to Marshmallow and now sound only comes from the left speaker. Doesn't matter what app and is the same speaker if I  rotate the screen. Anyone else had this? Amy ideas? Other than that I'm really happy with the update.

Does it do the same in safe mode? If it does, Try performing a repair installation using Xperia companion.

Can't even get it into safe mode! It is encrypted and (holding the vol down button) when the passcode screen comes up, it says safe mode in the bottom left, but (irrespective of whether I keep the vol down button pressed) when it boots it isn't in safe mode.....

Got it into safe mode from the power menu.  Same problem,  will try a rebuild.....   Bit of a pain!

Hasn't fixed it, must be a hardware issue. Looks like I'll find out how good warranty service is...
