Do not buy this phone. Nothing works, even after updates. This phone works when it wants, does what it wants regardless of settings. My phone will not even maintain a connection with service provider, stating no network available (yet my Blackberry remains connected) and the biggest joke is if I set "operator selection" to manual, it will show available networks, but is unable to connect (but if I remove battery and card, reinsert, I can get a connection back....for maybe an hour or two, or if I put the card in my old Nokia, the network connection is immediate). If you want Symbian technology that works, buy a Nokia. Battery has the worst life of any phone ever owned over the last 15 years. I intend to take great pleasure in breaking this phone into pieces this evening, and going back to my Nokia E51. Simply can not believe a company would release such an unproven/problematic phone to the market; I certainly will never buy a Sony Ericsson again.
Hi every one. I don't want to contradict you, but I have to do it. What you say is not true. Maybe is your personal case. I'm sorry! I work for 5 years in the telecom domain. I know well what a bad phone and a good phone means. Vivaz is not a bad phone at all. It's not the best, but it is very good. I have a Vivaz and I don't have ANY problem with it. I worked this phone in every corner of it't menu, apps, camera, connection, USB,etc, everything. NO PROBLEM with the Vivaz that I have. Before I bought it, I read a lot about this handset. And what I read it's true. I have what I expected and nothing more. But nothing less. Vivaz is Vivaz. No Iphone, no Nokia.
P.S. - I use Ericsson handsets since Ericsson time. My first phone was an Ericsson.
Bye
Hi - I agree the phone has a lot of problems but I think I had the same problem a few weeks ago and fixed it. The phone suddenly started losing connection and would not work until switched off and on. If you switch it to flight mode then back to normal it will reset. I googled it and got some answers out there. I can't the exact fix but it was something to do with the data packet settings. Google it and you will get it fixed. Try Vivaz losing connection or something and you will find the answer.
