New Update Available

On the UK SE site it says new updates available from 21/12/2010

For those that have this update, what is it.

I have answered my own question

The new update appears to be for Timescape and Mediascape

It also removes and blocks all current root priviliges and processes to root, took a while to resolve that, so if you have root this will remoe it,

so if you want to keep root access, its up to you

The phone seems to be snappier overall after performing this minor update. I don't care much for Mediascape and Timescape, though transition smoothness and touch-responsiveness have improved greatly over previous versions.

Default keyboard gets a new look, which resembles HTC's. I still don't like it. After updating to 2.1, I reinstalled the HTC IME keyboard because word prediction is much more accurate and touch calibration really helps to tailor the keyboard to respond to the way I type. SE default keyboard gives me a lot of typos.

I was hoping SE would fix the low in-call volume. Apparently not in this update. My old P1i provides me with greater calling joy.
