My Sony Xperia Neo L is experiencing a black screen problem

My phone is not starting. It is fully charged but when I press the on button it just vibrates and then nothing happens. The screen remains black usually it used to show SONY and then XPERIA. When I connect my phone to my laptop via USB cable it doesn't read the contents saying there is nothing in Drive G. I have tried to disasseble and reasseble the phone, took out the battery pack and reinserted it but it's not working. I have tried charging it for hours. I have been using this phone since the past 9+ months. What to do with this black screen problem, please help. I love my phone. Oh and by the way, I am in Pakistan and there are no Sony smartphone service centres here. HELP!!

I suggest that you repair the phone software using PC Companion: 

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phones software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone". Do this without the phone connected to the PC and make sure that you have the phone completely turned off.
