My K550i is not a fancy new model, but...?

It's still good and I cannot use it now I have moved to New Zealand from the UK, because it is locked to Orange - who can offord Orange roaming NZ to UK! I cannot afford a new phone iether, anyway I like this one. I have heard all about unlocking procedures and they sound a bit scary. What do I do?

Use Omnius to unlock the phone.

Download it here http://www.omnius-server.com/download

Run the program

Click settings and then server settings

Username is Newbie

Password is newbie

Then select k550 in the drop down list

Then click the unlock button

Then select unlock network lock by reset

Follow the on screen instructions on connecting the phone

Done.

Hi to KrazyD,

Thanks for your efforts and it may eventually work!

However, is it right to expect that after the last instruction: "Press and hold buttons 2 & 5, then connect the cable to the phone" and the start of the "Action progress" indicator to wait a very long time for a result, I mean, over an hour so far?

Should I go on waiting or is it likley something has gone wrong and should I "Abort"?

Thanks to you and Omnius, I seem to have succeeded, but I await confirmation when I go to a New Zealand
Telecom shop to get one of their SIMs and I will know if I am up and running. I have saved the log file in case it is useful in the future.

Problem in this..." Sorry,Your phone doesn`t support PCM encoding". And thats way wont any Guitar tuners work.I can`t understand this.In this phone is voicerecorder...  Is problem in hard,or in software?  Sorry my bad English.
