I've had issues getting MMS to send. SMS works just fine, but MMS just never goes through. It doesn't say it was sent, and the person I send it to never gets it. Even the stock text message app won't work. I tried reinstalling it but it still does the same thing.
Using CM 6.1.1....any suggestions? I'd rather not have to reinstall the ro and start over
this is way easier  You just type your text message, set it for the number of texts, how often to send and the phone number...it does the rest. I can have hundreds of texts sent to myself immediately lol
nice thanx
any time, bro
You guys are far more technically-minded than I am, but I assume that you have Data traffic (under mobile network settings) ticked? I have disabled mine because I only use the phoine for internetty stuff on wifi, and that means that I cannot receive picture messages. Just a thought.
Yeah, I did...thank you
I actually re-flashed to at&t's branded 1.6 rom this morning with the intension of going in to the store and after I finished, of course, stupid MMS worked just fine again lol So I went through the insanely long list of updates available all the way through to reflashing xRecovery and the cyanogen 6.1.1 rom I was using this whole time. I'm just now restoring my data partition so my phone will be exactly back to where it was last night, apps & all....we'll see if that takes care of all of this.
btw, I couldn't duplicate the mms error with text bomber or manually sending multiple texts back to back...that's why I'm just completely restoring my phone back to where I had it prior to downgrading to the branded rom.
I'm finally completely finished restoring my phone back to TMR CM 6.1.1 v006, and my old data partition is restored, as well. MMS is working for me again, and I was curious about what sushidushi mentioned above about my data settings being enabled....so turned it off and sent myself an MMS....stayed at sending and never came through. Now here's the kicker: I re-enabled data, cancelled the first MMS,and sent myself the same picture again. The message was sent and I got it just fine....then, all of a sudden I started getting texts from all my contacts who were replying to pictures I had sent them weeks ago that they never replied to. I called every person who replied, and they all said the same thing...the MMS all came through at exactly the same time!!! Over 15 of them hahaha. Something about reflashing and disabling/re-enabling data must have kicked all those messages in the pants and forced them through!!!
I learned a valuable tip today, though: data kills MMS. Does that mean even if I am within range of and connected to my wifi (like I was today when the MMS failed without data enabled) I will be using my data plan? Because that would explain the enormous amounts of data AT&T is claiming I've used.
yeah MMS goes with your data plan
that's it...I'm unlocking and leaving at&t...I only get 200mb and only CAN get 2gb. That's insane!! I don't even have the option for unlimited.
you could always upgrade for 5GB for an unsane price or get someone with a real unlimited plan to transfer it to you, look for people with the old iphone, if they want out of AT&T they might have the unlimited plan which they can transfer to you.
