Inserting info into text message

Hi. Sorry to ask such a basic question. How do I insert a contact name and number from my contacts list directly into a text message which I am currently writing? Thanks for any help.

I don't know which phone you have, but on my W995 I can do this by going to Main menu--Contacts--Options--Send contact--As message

Yes thanks. I have a T715. It will let me do as you suggest i.e. send the contact name and number. This is fine I didn't know that before. It just seems a bit unfriendly not being able to send a personal message with it.

Also a friend has shown me that during a text I can go to Options - Advanced - Attachments - Add attachment - Business card. And send the contact details that way.

It all just seems rather more convoluted that on my previous simple Nokia when in the middle of a text I could just go to Options - Insert Contact Details as easily as that!!

Never mind. The Sony is a nice phone.
