Edit: You can just sideload it like uliwooly said.
Just use a file manager and install it.
Make sure under Settings > Security > "Unknown sources" is check marked (On ICS).

If you just don't want it as a "User App" for an odd reason you can copy it to /system/app and set the permissions to 644.

(Optional: Clear Data under Settings > Apps > Xperia Home).

How to sideload apps

unkown sourcess MUST be selected

1st Method

download OI File Manager (or any other file manager)

OI File Manager

download the app on your computer, transfer it to your SD card, use OI file manager to find it -> tap on it -> install it

2nd method

download the apk on your computer, send it to yourself through email, make sure you send it to your Gmail

now on your phone

go to settings -> applications -> check unknown sources

wait for the email, once  you get the email, open it, and instead of downloading the attachment it will allow you to install it, voila, done

3rd Method

go to box.com and upload the apks from any computer

install the App on your phone -> open BOX -> tap on the app -> install it

download the app, transfer it to your SD card

open "Apk Manager" and voila select the apps that you wan't to install

I'll just try and sideload it without root, i'll update you after the sideload.

I think that home screen transitions are great!! looks really nice.

But the list of our applications is awfull with that white line around them and inscription instead of icon with sort option. My language is polish and it even does not fit this white rectangle.
