How to enter UK Postcodes

Under contacts how can you enter  a UK postcode? It will only allow numbers which is for the US.....

Well sptted, you're right, just tried mine and it only allows numbers and no letters.

I have just checked my Xperia T and mine accepts UK Postcodes OK.

I tested as well using US English as a language, it asks for a ZIP Code but still accepts letters and numbers.

I am still using Ice Cream Sandwich as Jelly Bean has reached my phone yet.

I'm in the UK, Xperia T Language set to English (United Kingdom), connected to Vodafone UK, cannot enter letters in postcode field. Android 4.1.2, Build 9.1.A.1.140

Sam, Mine is the same as Doc M, i am just about to repair my phone as since the last update it crashes all the time, the screen turns off and you cant turn it back on!

You can input all UK address details using PC companion and sync it, not the ideal way I know but it works including postcode, only thing is the address layout is not quite right.

can you update us on the progress with this bug?  New to Sony phones I use the phone daily with clients and not being able to update post code on the go is a bit useless.
