How do I unlock my phone if i forget the pattern lock in xperia z1

I owns a xperia z1 .

Normally when we setup a pattern lock it will give us an option to recover it when we forget , by asking some recovery question or asking for another password . But in my xperia z1 it didint happen. I am not sure if there is some other way to recover the pattern lock. Please help..

it will asked for answer you input as a security question example "whats your mother maiden name?  or a standby unlock code which you key in when you first setup.

it didint ask for the security question when i setup the pattern lock.... and i dont have a standby password configured....

Really? Pattern lock cannot be set without another backup pin or password or security question, if you have the backup of your data, you can just flash ROM
