how do i send stuff through Bluetooth

My bluetooth doesnt seem to work because i cant send and receive files such as mp3's and pictures from and to other phones

I have a an xperia x10 mini and when i bluetooth it to another phone it keeps saying paired but not connected please help ive tried everything dont know what im doing wrong x many thanks

You could try the application Bluetooth File Transfer free from the Android Market.  This allows you to use your phone to search remote devices and then use Menu>Edit and copy and Paste functions to copy accross your selected files either from your phone (local) to other device (remote) or vice versa.

Hello there Euan, are you on Android 1.6 or 2.1?  The suggestion made above regarding Bluetooth File Transfer app works on both but it is the only way if you are still on 1.6.

I have just read your other post Angel so know you are new to this 'wonderful' world of android! They take a bit of getting used to.

On the Bluetooth front, as you now have the Bluetooth File Transfer app you can use your daughters phone to 'look' at the other devices and then tick whichever file(s) you want then press the Menu (silver key bottom left) tap Edit and then tap Copy.  Then tap local files, which will be the phones SD card memory and choose where you want to put the file... music in music, pictures in the DCIM folder etc.... then Menu>Edit>Paste.
