Help with contact!!....PLEASE!!!

I text a lot and everytime I try to add recipient on the message its shows all my FB and phonebook contact. It takes a lot of time for me to find a contact. I would like to know how to make my FB contact not show everytime I add recipient when I text message because its really bugging me. It only happen when I upgraded my phone to 2.1 eclair

Go to your contacts and on the top left of the screen is a silhouette of 3 people.  Tap that.  At the top of the new screen is a box that says 'Contacts with phone number'.  Put a tick in that box and you should be all right.  You might also need to fiddle with the display contacts section on the same page.  There are a number of headings, like Google, Facebook, Twitter and so on.  Go to the Facebook sections (mine has two - one for Timescape and another with my sign in name), tap them and remove the ticks by 'All contacts'. You might need to play with it a bit, but tyhis is the section where you'll be able to do what you want...

Hi Sushi, have you noticed that everytime restoring from backup (using Backup/Restore) the STARRED IN ANDROID checkbox accumulates (under Display Contacts \ PHONE CONTACTS).  Im planning to reinstall my cp and I need to cnfrm if Im the only experiencing this prob.  I think there's a minor bug in here.  anyway, I took a photo for your reference...

The number of "STARRED IN ANDROID" is the number I restored my contact (due to buggy SE Update Sync).

Just to clarify, before I restore my contact, I make sure that I deleted all existing contacts just to make sure it wont create duplicate.
