I have forgotten the password to get into my phone

any ideas of how i can get around it or reset my phone?

use SUS to repair the phone then it should work just fine

firstly, what does SUS mean?

also i followed the instructions on the link you sent me gwhispererz and it let me install the software, it fails each time i try..

SUS = Sony Update Service ....

You can use SUS to 'reset' phone too.

If you forget the phone security password then try default code like 0000 or 1234 to reset it .If it doesn't  reset your mobile then visit Unlock-Free.com here they provide master reset code for some Nokia DCT phone and Alcatel old  mobile models at free of cost using this code you can reset your mobile and again set a new password.
