email trash folder will not empty

i have tried everything i know and read. every time i delete all unwanted emails (google mail) firstly it reads no conversation, then i can go to another folder, when i come back to the trash folder all the deleted items are back again. ive synced, unsynced, synced now,deleted, removed account then restored, trash folder is empty on my comp bout will not empty on my phone. am i doin somethin wrong???

if you check on the computer are the emails still there? your connection might be acting up.

if you have taskiller, kill Gmail app, and then try again, you can also access your gmail through the browser and see if that changes anything, if it doesnt not even through the computer it might be an issue with your Gmail.

was able to delete through browser, must be gmail connection fault, thanx for your help
