Im having many issues with the phone!

Where have my contacts gone?? When I press the contact icon on my home screen I get Add contact

                                                                                                                                  Import contacts from sim

                                                                                                                                  Sync contacts with a service

                                                                                                                                  Sync with google contacts

No actual contacts though, where have they gone?

Also, when trying to blueetooth contacts I get the message The application has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Then I have to force close. Any ideas please??

Tap Import contacts from sim to import contacts on your sim card to the phone.

Here's my problem I think but im not sure how to remedy it!

My contacts were already on my phone, working with no problems.

Yesterday I wanted to browse 'Market' so was prompted to set up a google account - which I did.

Paniced later re: the security of this as I was unable to 'log out' of market (silly I know) so did the following:

settings>applications>manage applications>google mail>clear data

settings>applications>manage applications>google mail storage>clear data

settings>applications>manage applications>market>clear cache

It was stupid of me to do this as quite frankly I dont know what im doing

Only now I cannot access any of my contacts from my phone book When I press phonebook all I see is the following:

Add contact
Import contacts from your sim card
Sync contacts with a service
Sync with google contacts

If I try to save a new contact i get 'The process android.process acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again'

Please help me, I think I may have broken my phone already

If that is the case then repair the phone using PC Companion or SEUS. Doing this will delete all custom installed application and everything that is store on your phone memory. Data on your sim card and SD card won’t be affected.

Don't panic first.

I hope you have done a google sync for your contacts before, just tap Sync with google contacts and see whether you can get back those contacts.

Sync with google contacts didnt work, I think i've deleted all memory of the google account I initially set up by clearing the data from the various sources listed above ^ ^

If I create a new google account would I get my contacts back?

N.B some contacts are still in my phone when I send a text - just cant access them to make a call. Nor can I add new contacts or bluetooth new contacts.

Hmmmm .... Is your existing gmail account in your phone? If not, add it to your phone and sync again. Let me know how it works out.

I didnt have a gmail account until the phone prompted me to create one. However, I think I have deleted this in clearing all the data from my phone.

If I create a new gmail account will it bring back my contacts?

I see, that means you have not done any google sync for your contacts at all, which means that you are unable to get it back from google account. Sorry that I am abit slow during the festive season :smileywink:.

Anyway, do you remember doing any backup for your contacts ANYWHERE?
