Can't find a facebook friend

Hello all,

I just noticed something today.  I just added a new facebook friend recently.

On the Facebook app, I can see this friend.

On the contact list, when I try to link this friend to facebook, I can't find her.

Do you guys know what I'm missing?

btw, I've done this before for all my other friends and I've always been able to link them so I don't know if this is a recent problem or I've never noticed that some friends are missing???

I have just added one of my son's friends to test this out and whilst I receive an update in the notifications that he is my friend he doesn't appear on my friends list.  I will leave the friendship in place for a few days to see if it works itself through the system.  Very strange tho.

BTW I am using the Facebook for Android downloaded from the market.

Just to report that the friend appeared on my list about 8 hours later!

Thanks Suze for checking that out.

It`s been almost a week and she is still not showing up - it really is so odd.

I think what I`m going to do is to de-friend her and then ask her to be my friend and see if that works out.

Just as a last thought, have you downloaded the Facebook for Android app from the market rather than the stock one that came on the phone.  It's just an update on the stock one but does do things slightly differently.  Might be worth a try.  Good luck.

I just defriended my friend and then made her a friend again but still no luck.

I'm not sure if this exists but is it possible that she put a block on her name?  But she's my friend so how can my x10 not find her but the actual facebook app can?

And I do have the actual facebook app from the market, not the stock.
