CAN'T ESTABLISH A RELIABLE DATA CONNECTION TO THE SERVER!

I can't link my google account to my phone (Experia x8)..It says

CAN'T ESTABLISH A RELIABLE DATA CONNECTION TO THE SERVER

I hope somebody could help me on this..Thank you!!!!!

I´ve googled a bit and found several sites with possible solutions.

There is three options to solve this problem. I wouldn´t start with the hard reset, but i would follow instructions which was given i the first comment:

Quote from the site above:
"Just restart the phone without the SIM card, and connect to some WiFi network, so you can login to your Google Account. It will log you into the account, and then you can put the SIM card back."

The second option is:
"1. MENU -> SETTINGS -> Accounts & sync -> BACKGROUND DATA (TICK!)
2. MENU -> SETTINGS -> Accounts & sync -> Add account -> try to add the account once more"

If that doesn´t help, i would consider a hard reset.
