my w705 fell in the river a few days ago. i've removed the water using a hairdryer and put it in a jar of rice.
2 days after, i've put the phone in the sun, and i switched it on. it did so, but with the screen brightness weak, althought i've put it to the maximun. when i brought in the shade and let it cool down, i noticed that, when i switched on the the phone, the logo appears for less than a second and then the screen goes blank. but the bottons continue to light.
What is the problem with the phone?
http://www.mobilesolutions-ea.co.uk/slug I would suggest removing the battery, SIM and memory card and letting it dry in rice for a few more days.If it still doesn't respond after this, you could try having it repaired, so have a look on this link with regards to repairing liquid-damaged phones. You could also try using the SE update service on your PC to update or re-install the software and/or phone repair via PC suite. However, if the latter suggestions don't work, the phone has definitely sustained water damage which needs to be dealt with.
yes..i did so..but it remained the same...
last night, i switched on my torch and pt it on the screen sensor. the screen did light up..thus its a screen sensor problem..
hmmmm...can this sensor be changed?
