You need to find a copy of the original beeb player apk file - it still works fine but was withdrawn from the market due to issues with the BBC licencing. There are plenty of places to download it from on the net
You can also register yourself at TV Catchup - despite what some people say, it works perfectly well on the X10 - use the HQ feed to view live (well a couple of second delay) UK Freeview channels.
I believe these two only work in the UK
