So after I got the new update, the battery continues to drain even after I plug it in to charge. It's VERY annoying. This never once happened before the update.
Anyone else expericence this?
Thank you in advance for any help I may get.
I would advise you run a repair via PC Companion; this will reload the software and hopefully resolve the issue:

Beg pardon but why did you not recommend sony ericsson update service? SEUS? I thought pc companion was garbage and should be deleted from the internet?
Dude get sony ericsson update service installed on your home computer and follow directions. Sounds to me like you need to flash your phone.
You'll lose everything but what is stored on your sd card. I use "MyBackup Pro" and do just data. Contacts and bookmarks . That is one of many ways to save your stuff. Then flash it. That should fix it but I wouldn't stop there if I were you I would go ahead and get root access and flash a new custom rom the new cyanogen mod work so well for both the wife and myself x10i and x10a respectively. The directions are already posted throughout this forum.

Hi David, I beg your pardon too.
For info, I did all my updates through PC Companion. Although I encountered difficulties at times, but still managed to get it through.
SEUS is like a backup plan for me in case PC Companion failed.
morever PC Companion serves it's other purposes too! But one thing that you are right, it is a better option for software repair and update (feedback from most users).
Get flashtool installed on your computer and put xrecovery on your phone is how that starts.
Well post the link to update service again for this for young lad!

try downloading the ADVANCED TASK KILLER by rechild in the android market.. i installed it on my x10 mini and it worked, my phone battery lasts 2 days or more because of this app. just follow the instructions on this youtube tutorial link below.
