Backup before Root attemp

Hey all,

I am going to try and root my phone using gingerbreak but want to have a backup as I hear it can sometimes format your SD card in the process.  I've made a backup of the whole card on my computer..do I need to do anything else incase the root doesnt work?  Is titanium plus only for rooted phones?  Basically i want to be able to restore everything back to the way it is now easily incase the root doesnt work.

gingerbreak works only on 2.3.2 not 2.3.3 nor the latest update

good to know thx....any suggestions for the backup for when the time comes that there will be an option to root 2.3.3?

yes, you can install the backup & restore app
