Yes Uliwooly, did give a very correct answer. There is a debate whether task killers are of any use. Android functions differently from Windows, it keeps your apps on the RAM even when you are no longer using them. It does so in order to speed up the process of restarting the same app again. When Androoid feels it needs more RAM it automatically removes the programme no longer in use to create the required RAM space. Theoretically it should make no difference to speed having the programmes occupying RAM when RAM is not required. There are many apps that dont restart and which you dont use too often and task killers may help you shut these down instead of doing the same manually.
I have noticed that in practice, judiciously using a task killer does in fact speed up the phone noticably. Why? maybe its got to do with the calculations Android may need to do everytime in order to see if it needs to clear up RAM or not..
I am using DU Speed Booster which is free app available on playstore. It has a wonderful and easy simple interface and does really help my phone speed up. Also the DU Battery Saver is something i find quite exceptional, i really dont know if their healthy charge is really helpful but it does theoretically seem to be a must have app.
