All the current Android based Sony Ericsson phones are using Android version 1.6. The update to 2.1 will start rolling out from week 38, which is in a few days time. However, depending on which country you are in, and whether the telcos are going to inject their own bloatwares, it may take up to a few more weeks from there after.
